Ebony is a striking girl around 6 years of age who is a long stay champion with Tier Haven. Ebony came to us as a young girl after being confiscated due to neglect. Ebony was a diamond in the rough and has struggled to find a home of her own since then.

Ebony does great with people and is a playful, social, and energetic girl. She can be reserved with new people at times but warms up quickly and once you're her friend it is for life. Ebony has settled a bit with age but still believes rules were made to be broken and everyone wants to play tug. Ebony has lived with kids over 7 years of age and done well given proper supervision and boundaries for everyone. Ebony loves to creek walk, roll in mud puddles, and generally keep you on your toes. She is also great for grooming and enjoys a good blow dry and brush out to keep her coat nice and healthy.

Ebony is able to coexist with other Shepherds in her foster homes but can be a dominant girl in play groups. She is wicked smart and has a mischievous streak that whispers to her that she should stir everyone up and then get out of there so she can watch them spiral. She can be pushy when meeting new dogs - quietly pestering them when you aren't looking - and does best with a structured introduction with supervision and reinforcement of boundaries. Ebony has lived with other dogs for years and can adjust to a new home with other dogs given proper boundaries. Ebony is NOT suitable for a home with cats or small dogs.

Ebony is searching for a loving home that will channel her energy and intelligence into a job. Ebony is going to require patience, training, and exercise but she has lots of love and laughs to give back.
