Sasha is a beautiful black and tan female Shepherd estimated around 2 years of age. Sasha was a stray in eastern Kentucky therefore we unfortunately do not know any of her history or background. When Sasha arrived she was extremely withdrawn and fearful indicating a lack of socialization or handling. Sasha has made great progress but is still slower to trust and requires love and patience. When Sasha is given space to 'check things out' she will come around and can be very affectionate. If Sasha is rushed, forced, or cornered she becomes fearful and will try to get away. It is important that Sasha's new family give her time and patience as she learns the world isn't all that scary. Sasha was picked up with another dog and has been around other dogs in her foster home. She isn't the most playful but navigates groups well and doesn't have any issues getting along. She has not been tested with cats directly although she has met a few through carriers while at the vet clinic without issue. We can have Sasha officially cat tested upon request. Sasha is just a shy girl who is searching for a family that is willing to take the time to show her the world doesn't have to be a scary place.
