Jetta is a stunning female German Shepherd estimated around 9 months of age. Jetta was unfortunately found as a stray at a common dumping site in rural Kentucky so we do not know her history or background prior to arrival at the shelter.

Jetta is a typical rambunctious young Shepherd and tends to meet new people with lots of excitement. She is still learning not to jump on new friends and that not everyone wants a large lapdog. She is young and has a lot to learn about manners and what is expected of her but she is a wicked smart girl and quick learner. Jetta has had some interactions with kids 7+ years of age and is generally friendly but her energy and size might not be appreciated by younger children. 

Jetta is learning how to play nice with other dogs and can be a bit of a bully at times. According to the shelter she was prone to starting fights however she has done well with the other large dogs in her foster home. She can be very insecure meeting new dogs and if not introduced properly will try to be overly pushy with them. Jetta would do best in a home with other confident, neutral large dogs or as an only dog receiving structured socialization with other dogs. Ultimately she is at an age where this behavior is common and it is critical that she builds positive associations with other dogs. Jetta is not currently recommended for a home with cats or small dogs.
