Caleb is a handsome male Shepherd who was originally estimated at 5 years old at the shelter but is likely closer to 8 years of age. Caleb was a stray so unfortunately we don’t know his history or true age and although he loves to talk he isn’t touching that subject. Caleb is a sweetheart that enjoys making new friends, having his itchy spots scratches, and talking about it the whole time. Caleb has a very chatty personality and enjoys whining and grumbling in the cutest old man voice your heart could imagine. Caleb enjoys being right with the people and is always up for a day in the workshop or hanging out on your feet while you work. Caleb does well meeting new people and is quick to ask for scratches from new friends. He enjoys going for walks and although his leash manners aren’t perfect, he certainly has fun. Caleb has met an 8 year old who he has done well with but he has not been around any younger children at this time. Caleb is fostered with other German Shepherds and does well with other dogs his size and larger. He isn’t a big player but navigates play yards with ease. He is appropriate about setting boundaries with the younger dogs and is usually content to lay down with a chew bone in the sun. Caleb has not been introduced to any small dogs or cats at this time. Caleb did have hair loss due to yeast as well as yeast in his ears when he arrived. These are clearing up now with some care and he is well on the way to better health. Caleb is searching for a family that will value his spunky attitude and unique way of loving life.
