Sage is a handsome young guy around 4-5 months of age. A stray in rural eastern Kentucky we do not know his breed, parents, or history but we do know he is 19 lbs of love looking for a home to call his own. Sage is a normal young puppy - energetic, jumpy, mouthy, and opinionated. He loves to chat about it and always has an opinion - from whining at the vet to barking at big dogs that step on him. Sage believes leashes are to be protested and cars are modern torture devices. He doesn't get car sick but he doesn't appreciate them either. Sage is a lively young guy who enjoys playing with toys and is learning people aren't chew toys. He lives with a 7 year old who is very puppy savvy and does well. We generally do not recommend adopting a puppy if you have children under 5 years old however we are open to a conversation about raising a puppy and young kids together. Sage is a brave and fearless boss of the big dogs. He enjoys playing with the other puppies and has no concept of his size when he bosses around the larger dogs. Luckily they tolerate him well enough and he is learning social manners. Sage believes cats are for chasing but with time and training could learn to coexist with them nicely. Overall, he is just a rambunctious young guy who will need ongoing guidance and socialization. Sage is searching for a home that enjoys long talks, mystery dogs, and lifelong commitments.
