Juniper is an adorable young girl who is around 4 - 5 months of age. A stray in rural eastern Kentucky we do not know her breed, exact age, or history. We do know that she is a happy young pup who is looking forward to a home to call her own. Juniper is a typical puppy who enjoys chasing ankles, jumping on kiddos, and refusing to walk on leash. She loves people and is very social and playful. Like most puppies she is very mouthy when she plays and requires some guidance on appropriate play with people verses dogs. She enjoys cuddles, disdains car rides, and is 90% clean in her crate. Juniper is around a 7 year old who doesn't mind being scratched by puppy toenails and they do great together. We generally do not recommend adopting a puppy if you have children under 5 however we are always open to a conversation on raising a puppy in a home with young kids. Juniper was picked up with another puppy, Sage, and is pretty dog savvy. She loves to play, run, and romp with Sage and the other young dogs in her foster home. She doesn't understand the boundaries the older dogs set but is learning. She is currently fearless with bigger dogs and will try to boss them around. She views cats as other puppies - much to the cats disgust - and wants to play with them. Like any pup she will need ongoing socialization but she has a good foundation to build upon. Juniper is searching for a home full of love, adventure, and commitment to her life long care.
