Valerina, Val for short, is a beautiful young girl believed to be around 8 months of age. Val was a stray in the Louisville area so we do not know her history. Val is sweet as molasses wanting to snuggle with everyone she meets. Val lacks confidence in new situations and tends to glue herself to the nearest human she knows. She has done a wonderful job meeting new people and is coming out of her shell with every positive interaction. Val is regularly around a 7 year old and does wonderful but in typical puppy fashion can be overly rambunctious. Val will need close supervision in a home with young children but could adjust given appropriate boundaries for both her and the kids. Val enjoys playing in the yard, cuddling on the couch, or being part of the kitchen obstacle course. Val currently lives with multiple other dogs but is still figuring out how to play. She gets her feelings hurt easily and is often scared of new dogs. She will bark while hiding behind the nearest human but settles down if the new dog isn't pressuring her. Val has zero confidence in herself with other dogs but with the help of the other young dogs she lives with has learned to romp and play. Val does live with a cat but requires close supervision as she will chase the cat given the chance. She doesn't know what to do once she reaches the cat but will pester her. Val would need dedicated training to help her develop a better relationship with cats and is likely to behave similarly with small dogs. Val is searching for a home dedicated to her ongoing socialization, bonding, and development. She has lots of love to give and is going to be an amazing family member given the guidance.
