Athena is a beautiful girl who is around 10 years young. Athena was originally with Tier Haven years ago and adopted by a family with young children where she has spent the last 5 years of her life; however divorce and moving led to Athena being surrendered. Athena is searching for a home that will appreciate her loyalty and love through her golden years.

Athena is 100% diva and a people's-dog. She loves to be around her people and is always looking for a chance to make new friends. She is a social and fun girl who is pretty active for her age. She has a queen bee attitude of doing things her way but is ultimately a people-pleasing personality type. It doesn't seem like Athena has learned much in the way of formal manners on leash but she is good in the house and understands being part of a family. Athena has spent her whole life around children and has always been a loyal companion to those in her home. Athena values herself part of the family and is always right there ready for adventure. 

Athena turns the queen mode up when meeting new dogs and can be a very domineering sort when being introduced. She has lived with other dogs, and currently lives with other dogs, but is the fun police in play groups and wants to boss the other dogs around. She would be best with more submissive dogs or as an only dog. Athena has lived with cats at various times in her life and done okay with strict boundaries. She likes to be boss which fully extends to the cats who she will nose around and fuss at if allowed to. Athena does understand boundaries though and when told to leave them alone will oblige. Athena may be able to adjust to life with cats again given plenty of guidance, boundaries, and supervision during transition. 

Athena is a fun, social, and moderately active girl who is searching for a family who will give her the love, support, and adventures she needs through her golden years.
