Jared is a handsome guy believed to be between 2-3 years of age. Jared was a stray so we do not know his history however he was very overweight when he arrived so he clearly wasn't lacking for food. Jared has been waiting nearly a year for a home to call his own and has taken that time to work on his physique and continue being the awesome gentleman he is. 

Jared is an absolute sweetheart who wants to be involved in anything you're doing. He enjoys being social and making new human friends. He enjoys walks around the neighborhood and visits to his foster homes barn as they are new places to make friends. Jared has shown himself to be a well mannered gentleman when out and about who will gladly accept attention but isn't the sort to demand it. He is best summed up as a shadow shepherd who will happily follow you where you go and is a loyal companion. Jared enjoys going on walks and hikes and has happily built up his stamina over the last year to be able to keep up with more activity.  Jared has met children of various ages while on outings and always done well but has not lived with children at this time. 

Jared has been wonderful with the Shepherds in his foster home and has a patient, but firm, personality with the younger dogs. He isn't big on playing but is friendly with the other dogs and likes to say hello when he meets new dogs. He doesn't have endless patience for pestering pups though and will appropriately reprimand dogs who get in his face too much. Although Jared has been around puppies as small as 15 lbs he has not met any small dogs at this time. Jared has been cat tested and is NOT friendly with cats.
