Rue is a beautiful young Shepherd around 1.5 - 2 years of age. Rue has spent the first part of her life on a chain and is looking forward to learning what it's like to be part of a family.
Rue is a bit of a wild child and is always happy to great new people with lots of energy and affection. It is clear that she enjoys attention and is used to having to demand it whenever people came near. She isn't really sure what to do with herself now that she isn't living on a chain and is still trying to figure out how to interact appropriately. She has lots of love to give though and is an eager to please girl. Rue has been around children over 8 years of age and done well. We would not recommend her for a home with children under 8 years old due to her energy level and lack of manners.
Rue was with others dogs in her previous situation and is now fostered with other Shepherds. She has a fun and playful personality but can also be pushy and inappropriate at times. She is still learning how to navigate a play yard and that not everything is a competition anymore. Rue would do well with other energetic dogs and dogs that are tolerate of her shenanigans. Rue has not been around small dogs or cats.
Rue is an active girl and is searching for a home that will enjoy going on walks, runs, and/or hikes to keep her physically stimulated as well as ensuring she gets the training and mental stimulation she needs. She is a very smart girl and with some work she is going to be an amazing companion.
