Addie is a sweet Shepherd believed to be around 8 years of age. Addie found herself at a shelter for being 'too old' and according to the shelter she had spent her life on a chain being used for breeding. Addie is ready to put that behind her and is searching for a real home to call her own. Addie has a sweet and kind temperament and enjoys being around her people. She is always happy to meet new people and has really taken to being the diva of her foster home. She has been around a number of volunteers, visitors, vet techs, and children 7 years and older with no concerns. Addie is happy to make new friends and convince them to do her bidding - butt rubs are high on this list. Addie doesn't have any formal manners which is unsurprising but she is generally well behaved and is a quick learner. She does well supervised in the house but is crated when unsupervised per rescue policy. She does well in her crate and enjoys having the space to decompress. Addie is around other Shepherds in her foster home and doing well navigating play yards. She isn't overly playful and doesn't appreciate being pestered by the younger dogs. She tends to hang out with the people or with other older dogs in the play yard. Addie can be a queen bee at times and enjoys bossing other dogs around. She would do best with more neutral or submissive dogs or as an only dog. Addie did NOT do well during cat testing and would not be suitable for a home with cats or small dogs.
