Val is a beautiful and sweet young girl around 4-5 months of age. Val came to us after being picked up from a farm where a pack of semi-feral dogs were allowed to breed freely and were only ever tossed food which resulted in fighting. Val was used accustomed to being handled and still has a lot to learn about being a member of the family.
Val has a very sweet personality once she warms up and is a typical young female Shepherd. She can be sassy and bossy just as much as she can be cuddly and cute. She is not used to being on a leash but is slowly learning and in the meantime she enjoys getting to walk in the yard and show how pointless a leash is if she refuses to let you out of her sight. Val has met a variety of people and although she can be scared at times she has never offered any form of aggression. She has been around children on a limited basis and like a typical young Shepherd she can be jumpy and mouthy. Val is still trying to figure out her role and is going to need clear guidance and training as she continues to grow and learn.
Val has two brothers that she is happy to boss around and has met multiple other Shepherd's and Shepherd mixes in her foster home. She doesn't yet understand how to appropriately meet new dogs and like most young Shepherds will bark and carry-on at new dogs. She does understand how to convince them to play with her though and enjoys romping in the yard with anyone who will oblige her. Val hasn't been around small dogs or cats at this point but can be tested upon request.
Val is searching for a home that is able to see the diamond under the lack of socialization and commit to her socialization and training to ensure that she lives up to her potential as an amazing family companion.
