Momu is estimated to be around 2 or 3 years of age and was found during a cold snap with her litter of puppies. Unfortunately, we do not know anything about her history prior to her being picked up by animal control at that time.
Momu values herself as a lap dog and is happy to crawl into the lap of anyone willing to rub her tummy. She loves people and is a social girl who can also be demanding about getting attention. she certainly lacks a concept of personal space or her size but believes cute looks will win over anyone. Momu is comfortable being in the house and adjusts to new homes pretty quickly. She is also a wicked smart girl - typical of her breed - and will learn how to open doors if she is so inclined. She prefers to be near people and does best in a crate if she needs to be confined. She is used to sleeping in her crate and does well having a space to decompress. She has been around a 7 year old child and is equally as demanding about affection as she is with adults. We would not recommend her for a home with children under 5 due to her size, energy level, and lack of training.
Momu has been around other dogs and while she adjusts quickly she is simply a very intense dog. She has a bossy personality and although she doesn't push the matter when told to back off she can be quite obnoxious when meeting new dogs. Once a dog is part of her routine she could care less about them and is busy looking for the next dog to bully. She has not been around small dogs, aside from her puppies, but does chase cats. We would not recommend her for a home with cats or small dogs.
Momu has all of the intensity of a Belgian Malinois with only an iota of drive. She is not a working dog candidate but would likely excel at advanced obedience, agility, or rally training. She is going to require a home that is dedicated to meeting her exercise and training needs who preferably has previous experience with Malinois. She has a lot of love and dedication to offer a family that is willing to invest the time in guiding her to good behaviors.
