Lurch is a big beautiful Shepherd estimated just over 1 year of age. Lurch was found as a stray so we don't know his history prior to arriving at the shelter. Lurch is a big goofball with an outgoing and social personality. He greats everyone with enthusiasm, hugs, and kisses. He is always happy to make new friends and will quickly win anyone over with his handsome looks and goofy personality. Lurch does lack any concept of his size and personal space but he promises to love you and give you lots of kisses! Lurch does well with kiddos who are understanding of his desire to be a lap dog and lean on them like he is a cat. Lurch can be a lot of dog though and isn't the best fit for a home with small children. Lurch's playful personality extends to other dogs and his was sad to learn that not every dog wants to be his friend. He is determined to prevail though and is skilled at winning dogs over to be playmates. Lurch does a good job navigating play groups and meets new dogs well. Lurch is a young dog though and isn't always appropriate making it necessary to set boundaries especially around sharing resources - toys, water, etc. Lurch is NOT recommended for a home with small dogs or cats. Lurch is searching for a family that will provide him with plenty of exercise, adventure, training, and maybe even a new name.
