Veronica is a stunning girl who is estimated around 2 years of age. Veronica is likely an Alaskan Husky - a common mix of German Shepherd and Husky - and has the personality to accompany both breeds. Veronica was surrendered to the shelter for being an escape artist with too much energy. Veronica can be slow to warm up to new people and prefers to have a gradual introduction to new people either in a yard or over the course of a walk. Once she warms up Veronica has a sweet, and mischievous, personality. She is the sort of dog that is always looking for her next adventure and if her human joins all the better. She is still learning to trust but once she bonds she does so with all of her heart. Veronica is going to need a home that understands her initial aloof behavior and will work with her to earn her trust and build a bond. She does well in her crate but should not be left loose in the house or yard without supervision. Veronica is super social with other dogs and goes straight into play-mode when she meets new dogs. She loves to romp in the yard with other dogs and is always leading the party in play groups. She has been around other medium and large dogs with a variety of personalities in her foster home. She navigates meeting new dogs very well and is a friendly girl. She has not been introduced to small dogs or cats at this time.
