Bogie is a handsome German Shepherd believed to be around 2.5 - 3 years of age. Bogie was a 'frequent-flyer' stray at the shelter due to be allowed to roam the neighborhood. Eventually, he wasn't reclaimed and he is now searching for his true fur-ever family. Bogie is a total lover and has a very sweet personality. Bogie was a bit shy with new people when he first arrived but has learned to trust - and that nice people at checkout lines have treats. Bogie has done wonderful with everyone he has met and even if he isn't feeling overly social is a very kind boy. Bogie enjoys going for walks and getting scratches and always being right with his people. He is a typical 'Velcro Shepherd' that wants to be part of everything. Bogie has mostly been around children over 7 years of age but has met children as young as 3 years old and done very well. He is a very large boy though and can easily knock a kiddo over on accident when excited. Bogie has let his inner puppy out to play and been very gracious and playful with the other dogs. He has a been around other medium and large dogs and does very well. He is not reactive when meeting new dogs and generally settles into a new play group easily. He is learning how to be more appropriate in initiating play and is a big goofball over all. He is a rough and tumble guy in the play yard and would be best suited with other large dogs who enjoy roughhousing. Bogie is NOT cat friendly and would not be suitable for a home with cats or small dogs. Bogie is searching for a family that appreciates his big, goofy personality and values him as a member of the family.
