Gretchen is a loving and beautiful young Shepherd. She is estimated around a year of age and was a stray in eastern kentucky. We do not know her background or history but we do know that she is looking forward to leaving her old life behind. Gretchen simply loves people. She is a sweet, somewhat submissive, girl with a tender heart. She was a hit at the vet clinic giving kisses to any tech willing to give her attention. Gretchen enjoys getting loved on and simply being near people. She does a great job meeting new people and is *generally* well behaved when doing so. She doesn't have any formal training though and will definitely benefit from a basic obedience course. Gretchen has been around a 6 year old kiddo who is very dog savvy. Gretchen did a wonderful job meeting the kiddo and being gentle with her. Gretchen does great with other dogs and has been around multiple medium and large dogs. She navigates play groups well and is quick to jump in to play with new dogs. She has been tested with cats and did wonderfully when meeting an adult cat. With proper introductions and boundaries we feel confidence that Gretchen would adjust well to a home with cats. Gretchen is a loving young girl who is looking for a home that will give her the love, exercise, and training she needs to ensure she continues to grow into a good canine citizen.
