Abby is an adorable young girl around a year and a half of age. Abby was surrendered to us after she and an older dog in the household weren't getting along and the health of the owner prevented them from keeping the dogs separate anymore.
Abby is enthusiastic and loves meeting new people. She is learning not to jump but is clinging to the bad habit when meeting new people. Abby used to go camping with her previous owner and is well versed in public interactions, walking through stores, and hiking. She is a lover with everyone she meets and is an overall social girl. Like most dogs she has her moments of being unsure in a new situation but Abby recovers quickly and places her trust in her handler.
Abby has been around multiple other dogs both male and female without issue. She previously lived with two adults Shepherds- a male and a female. She got along well with both but began having issues with the other female and the owners situation didn't give them the ability to keep them separated and attempt training. Abby has been navigating play groups without issue and seems to have no issues getting along with the other large dogs she has been introduced to. Like people sometimes certain dogs simply don't get along which appears to be the case here.
Abby is NOT cat friendly as she has a high prey drive and desire to chase. We have not allowed Abby around small dogs for this reason and would not recommend her to a home with small dogs.
Overall, Abby is a wonderful young girl who is searching for a family that will continue her training and socialization and most of all have fun. She has a sweet personality and lots of love to give.
