Tilly is a sweet little girl around 2 years of age who was a stray in a very rural area of Kentucky. We unfortunately do not know anything about her past. When Tilly arrived she was very scared and withdrawn however she has made amazing progress in her socialization. Tilly does take a second to warm up and will shy away if a stranger reaches towards her head from above however if you get down on her level she will crawl into your lap for love. Tilly recently attended an adoption event where she was able to interact with new people and follow the lead of a more social dog and she did wonderful. Tilly doesn't offer any fear aggression but will step away if she is uncomfortable. She is simply a sweet natured girl who needs to know that she can trust you first. Tilly is not reactive and can walk through stores and events without issue. Tilly does great with over dogs and relies on them for her social cues. She is a smaller girl herself and many in her play group are larger Shepherds therefore she has gotten pretty savvy on staying out of the way and playing with those who are her size. She would certainly benefit from having a confident dogs to help her come out of her shell. Tilly has been tested with cats and did extremely well. She was friendly and unconcerned with the cat. Tilly also got to meet a small dog - a Maltipoo - during the adoption event and did wonderful with them. She is not vocal when meeting new dogs and has a good understanding of doggy etiquette. Tilly is a loving girl who is looking for a home that will continue to help her learn how to trust the world around her. She enjoys scratches, cuddling, and riding in the car.
