Bones is a beautiful young Shepherd who was named by a volunteers child as he reminds her of the "skinny bull from Ferdinand". Bones has clearly been on his own for a bit and has a lot of weight to gain. Bones is an absolute doll and is simply loving, sweet, and cuddly. He very much has a puppy personality and can be a total goofball at times. He can also get his feelings hurt if you raise your voice at other times. He is in that stage of growth where he requires love and guidance to ensure that he grows into a well-mannered and social adept dog. Bones is great meeting new people although he will need some fine tuning on the manners - again very much puppy behavior. Bones has done well being introduced to new dogs and is a bit of the low man in the pack. He keeps to himself around more dominate dogs but is learning to play with the other middle line dogs like himself. Bones has been introduced to a cat on one occasion. He was intrigued by her and when the cat decided to be bold and walk underneath Bones he attempted Doggy Yoga inversions to follow her under his own stomach. The cat laughed at him and went on her merry way with Bones being none the wiser that the cat is simply a bully. He has not been introduced to any small dogs but given his wonderful manners with the cat it is likely that he would be good. Bones is searching for a loving family that has the time to provide him guidance, training, and lots of treats as he grows into the wonderful dog he is meant to be.
