Zeus is a stately gentleman around 8 years of age who was a beloved member of a family for the last several years. When his owners had a baby Zeus did not adjust well - he is a bit grumpy about crawling babies. Zeus is searching for a home where he is free to be a bit of a grumpy old man at times and enjoy his golden years. Zeus is wonderful with other dogs and is used to being in a multi-dog home with other large dogs. He does great meeting new dogs and is a generally social guy although he has no issue reprimanding the younger dogs for being too rough. Zeus is currently in a foster home with a beagle who is approximately 20 lbs who he does extremely well with - minus the occasional accidental step on her... We do not know home Zeus is with dogs smaller than this or with cats however we are happy to test him upon request. Zeus is a very laid back guy, and easy to manage as far as meeting energy needs. Like most Shepherds Zeus does need firm guidance with introduction to new members of the household and visitors. His size and strength do not lend well to very young child or persons who are frail. Overall, Zeus is a very devoted, loyal, close bonding gentleman who is waiting patiently for his home.
