Scout is an approximately 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix female. Princess was originally with Tier Haven in fall 2017 and was adopted by a family with other dogs and children however after many months in the home there was a fight with one of the other dogs and they decided to return Scout. To our knowledge, Scout had been doing just fine with this dog leading up to this incident however it is impossible to always predict dog behavior. Scout can be very skittish when meeting new people and is not trusting of strangers. She warms up quickly and can be a very friendly, sweet girl. Her family adored her as she was just such a loving girl however she isn't the type to go around the park loving everyone. Scout will need an owner dedicated to expanding her social circle through managed socialization and positive reinforcement. Scout is an active and nimble girl who would make a wonderful hiking or walking partner. Scout has lived with other dogs and is fostered with other German Shepherds without any issue. She seems to take good social cues from other dogs and having the right "big sibling" in a home could be very beneficial for Scout. Overall, Scout has lots of love to give and is seeking a home that will help her learn to trust the world again.
