Porsche is a beautiful classic Shepherd around 5 to 6 years of age and searching for a home to call her own. Porsche was a stray in the Louisville area and we know very little about her history. She did have a microchip to an original owner who claimed to have returned Porsche to her breeder however we were unable to locate the breeder nor is it likely they would have taken Porsche back. So we know that she has had at least 3 or 4 "homes" in her life. Porsche gives a bit of a cold shoulder when she first meets people and it is clear that she doesn't have much faith in humans. Unlike some dogs who are automatically your friend Porsche likes to size you up first. She is a very opinionated girl and very much a thinker. Once Porsche decides you are worthwhile she is a very fun and playful girl. She will "chew" and can be very mouthy with people so it is not advised that she go to a home with young children. She is in no way malicious just holding onto a bad habit that likely started as a puppy. Porsche is pretty indifferent to the other dogs and really doesn't engage. She is pretty tolerate of the few that have tried persistently to get her to play but if they get rude - jumping on her, etc - she will tell them off. We honestly can't blame her for holding her own. She has a diva attitude that leans towards the dominate side making her best suited for a home with other dogs who aren't going to be bombarding her constantly. She doesn't mind the other shepherds who are similar in personality to her - they have a mutual respect for each others space. Even as a mature dog Porsche still has plenty of energy to burn and is going to require a home able to meet her exercise needs. She does appear to know some basic obedience and once she is warmed up to a person she is very eager to please. Porsche is searching for a home that is able to give her the stability her life has been lacking.
