Playa is a wonderfully fun and energetic young Shepherd female around a year of age. Playa was transferred to us from a Humane Society because she wasn't showing well in their kennels however we do not know the circumstances that led to her being there.
Playa is a typical young shepherd without any training. She is very friendly and rambunctious. She does well meeting new people but can be a bit overwhelming in her energy level. She is very friendly but also very over the top as well. She has not shown any aggression or reactivity towards people when meeting.
Playa has many traits that speak to her having lived an isolated life up until this point. She is actually afraid of being outside for long, timid with the other dogs in the play yard (she is fine with them inside), and is generally under socialized. Playa has been getting along with the other dogs and they are teaching her how to play but she has a lot of social development to catch up on. Playa has not been introduced to cats at this time.
Playa is a high energy girl who is going to need extensive socialization to overcome whatever circumstances led to her being unfamiliar with the outdoors. She will require training and energy redirection but she is a sweet personality that is going to be worth the time investment. Given her age Playa will likely be easily socialized and we hope she soon blossoms into a typical playful Shepherd.
