Travis is a handsome boy estimated around 3 years of age. Travis was found as a stray in the Louisville Metro area along with another dog. Unfortunately no one came forward to claim them and we lack any information about their life prior to being picked up. Travis could be the picture next to the word "goober" in an urban dictionary. He is a very sweet and very goofy boy. Travis has been nothing but friendly and outgoing with everyone he has met. He seems to still have a very puppy like attitude in many ways. He has a slight issue with jumping that we are working on but he only wants to give you kisses better. Travis has met some children and was just as friendly with them as everyone else. He is a big boy so he does have the potential to accidently knock a child - or an adult for that matter - down but it wouldn't be with malicious intent. He just has no idea that he is well over lap size. Travis was found with another dog and seems to get along really well with the other dogs. He doesn't have any social manners to speak of but luckily his foster companions are very forgiving. With some continued guidance Travis could easily be the most entertaining dog at the dog park. Travis was introduced to cats shortly after his arrival and showed some interest but no follow through. He simply stood there barking at the cats without realizing he had a loose leash to go sniff them if he wanted. That being said we would not advise simply letting Travis into a home with cats without work. It is obvious that he has had very little guidance or boundaries in his life. We believe that with boundaries and training Travis could easily adjust to cats however without the proper steps being taken he could just as easily turn aggressive. Overall, Travis is a sweet and loving boy who is searching for a loving home to show him the ropes of being a well mannered family dog.
