About Lacey

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black
Lacey is a stunning girl who is around 7 years of age. Lacey was originally with us in 2012 after being found as a stray in very poor conditions. Lacey has been in a family home for the last 4 years but unfortunately had to be returned when they were unable to provide for her anymore. Lacey is accustom to living in the house and being with people. She has lived with multiple children over the last 4 years and does wonderful with the little ones. Lacey is also very friendly when meeting new people. She is a bit of a diva who believes everyone loves her. She also loves to have her hair brushed and be groomed. Lacey has lived with other dogs other the last 4 years however she is very much a queen-bee. She doesn't care much for the other dogs and is focused on her people at all times. She can peacefully coexist with other large dogs and may play on occasion but in the end she isn't a dog park kind of gal. Lacey is NOT friendly with small dogs or cats. She has a very strong prey drive and while she can be managed easily she would not be suitable for an environment with small animals. Lacey did test lightly positive for heartworm on July 15, 2016 and has been started on our treatment routine. This consists of receiving weekly doses of ivermectin and a supporting supplement called ParaFree. She will finish her weekly doses August 8th and need to receive monthly treatment/preventative from here on out to ensure her health and well-being. Lacey is a loving and loyal girl who is searching for a forever home to offer her devotion to through her golden years.
