Zeko is a beautiful long-haired shepherd who has had to adjust to life with 3 legs after being shot in October 2015. Unfortunately we have no information on Zeko prior to a good Samaritan taking him to the vet after finding him injured. Zeko is estimated between 2-3 years of age.
Zeko had a difficult recovery after his amputation which required him to remain on crate rest for many month. Zeko's foster has noticed that Zeko has remained aloof and unattached. Although he walks with other dogs he doesn't interact much and prefers to stay to himself. Although he is friendly with people he meets he isn't an overly affectionate dog in general. It seems like he doesn't have any experience being a member of the family and isn't sure how to respond. Zeko is seeking a home that will help him figure out his role in the house and help him understand being a loved family member.
