Becker is a beautifully unique boy around 10-11 years of age. Becker spent most of his life as a family dog with multiple young children but found himself looking for a new home in 2016 after it became too much to balance his needs and the growing needs of the children. As a senior Becker has struggled to find a new home but remains hopeful and is waiting for a loving family to dedicate his golden years to! Becker cherishes his people and has been around children his whole life. He values himself as part of the family and is always happy to meet new people and make new friends. Becker is settling down slightly with his age but don't let that fool you. He can still jump most fences like it is nothing and will do so if left unattended. Becker likes being part of the action but does not mind going to find it if there is none where he is at. Becker does great in the house, supervised in the yard, and going for walks around the neighborhood. Becker does not do great when he gets bored and like most high energy dogs he requires plenty of mental stimulation in addition to physical stimulation. Above all else, Becker values himself as part of the family and is searching for a family that will love him the way he will love them. Becker does well with other large dogs and navigates play groups wonderfully with dogs over 20 lbs. Becker does well meeting new dogs and is generally unconcerned about what the other big dogs are doing. He will play with some of the more persistent young dogs but is happy to stick with the humans or just hang out with a toy. Becker does have a high prey drive though and is NOT friendly with cats or small dogs. Becker loves his people and is always dedicated to his family. He is searching for a family that values his energy and drive well into his golden years and will give him the love he deserves for the rest of his life.
