Tilla is a very sweet young girl who is just under a year of age. Tilla arrived (1/4/16) at the shelter with an extreme flea infection that had been allowed to go unchecked causing severe hair loss. Currently Tilla lacks hair on the majority of her body however her skin scrape is negative for mange or any infections. This hair loss was the result of severe neglect. Tilla is a very sweet but very scared young girl. Given her condition it is obvious that Tilla has not had many interactions with people and she isn't 100% sure what is expected of her. She is scared of things like new flooring, stairs, and bathes. This is the result of being unsocialized and Tilla is being a very brave girl working through this and learning new things. Tilla is very loving with people once she warms up and is a sweet girl. Tilla is fostered with other dogs and is doing really well with them. She is pretty puppy in her behavior and wants to romp and play with the other dogs. She was a little timid at first around the other dogs but is quickly coming out of her shell and being a very social girl. Tilla has a long road to recovery and is searching for a family who will help her overcome her fears and keep her skin healthy while her hair regrows. UPDATE: We have posted updated pictures of Tilla exactly a month into her recovery. Tilla is doing great and has a layer of hair over her whole body now. She is still struggling to gain weight after battling an upper respiratory infection for the first few weeks. Thankfully she is on the upward swing and is making great improvement. Tilla has continued to be a very sweet girl with both people and other animals.
