Burt is a fun loving male shepherd estimated around 3 years of age. Burt came to us as a stray so we unfortunately lack any knowledge about his prior life. Burt was extremely underweight and also suffering from extreme hair loss when arrived so he has had a longer road to recovery than many of our dogs. He is now happily healthy and searching for his fur-ever home. Burt is a very sweet and loving boy. He is a gentle soul and really loves people and bonds easily. He is still very energetic and when he gets really excited he will spin in circles. Burt does well meeting new people and is good with children as well. Burt is currently fostered with other dogs and is a peaceful boy. He usually doesn't leave the people long enough to actually play with the other dogs - he is definitely a momma's boy. He doesn't like conflict though and doesn't challenge other dogs. Burt has been introduced to an adult cat and he was too scared to approach her. He was mildly interested but decided that it wasn't worth it to even sniff her. This is not to say that he is guaranteed cat friendly however when properly introduced with good boundaries Burt could likely adjust easily to living with a cat.
