Mika is a very sweet young girl estimated around 1.5-2 years of age. Mika found herself terrified and alone at a rural shelter after her owners surrendered her to the shelter. Mika clearly hasn't had much socialization or human interaction and is searching for a 'fur-ever' home that will give her both.
Mika is slowly but surely learning that new people aren't scary. She enjoys getting pets but doesn't ask for them. She is still very shy about 'bothering' people but is eager to get attention if you give it to her. Mika adores children though and they are the exception to her shyness. She warms up considerably around other dogs. She loves to play and quickly made friends with the most playful dogs in her foster home. She will run and romp in the yard forever if you let her. When she can't find another dog to play with Mika keeps to herself and opts to chew on a bone in the yard. She isn't confident asking people to play with her yet so she will keep to herself if you let her. Mika has had one initial cat test and did well. She sniffed the cat over and was mildly interested but was timid and didn't want to stay around the cat. She obviously doesn't have experience with the cat and could be easily trained however she likely couldn't move into a home and be automatically trusted with a cat. Mika is searching for a loving home that will be patient with her while she learns how to navigate the world.
