Merci is a beautiful girl who is around 10 years young and searching for a home that will cherish her through her golden years. Merci was originally with Tier Haven in 2015 having arrived as a stray and has been in a pet home for the last 5 years. Merci was returned through no fault of her own when her owners had their first child. Merci's photos from 2015 can be seen on her adoption profile. 

Merci is a sweet girl who has a huge heart for her people. Merci loves being part of the action and involved in whatever the people are doing. She is happy to accompany you to the garden, in the kitchen, or on a walk. Merci is very overweight and will require a good diet/exercise plan to help her get back to a healthy weight for the sake of her joints. She wants to be active and enjoys going on walks and playing in the yard. Merci is around a 9 year old child regularly and does well. She would likely be fine in a home with older, dog savvy, children that can respectfully dote on her. Merci has always been a house dog and is well mannered as such. She also does well for grooming and rides well in the car.

Merci is a queen and makes sure the other dogs know it. She lives with other Shepherds in her foster and does well but does tend to be bossy in play settings. She can be a fun police at times and at other times she is the one wanting to play - really she just likes to have things her way. Merci is NOT cat friendly and would do best with dogs over 35 lbs.
