Jack is a beautiful boy who is 9 years young and found himself confused at the kill shelter when his owner surrendered him for no reason. Jack is a very friendly and gentlemanly shepherd who gets along great with everyone he meets – people and dogs. Jack loves to follow the people in his foster home around and make a wonderful Shepherd-sized shadow. Although Jack is considered a 'senior' he doesn't believe in labels and sometimes behaves like a young pup. He enjoys cuddling and getting attention. Jack does great with children as well - love is love in his eyes. Jack is fostered with other German Shepherds and does wonderful. Occasionally when he is feeling extra spunky he will play with the other dogs. Typically he prefers to shadow a human and let the younger pups be goofy on their own. He gets along well with all of the other dogs though and doesn't like conflict. Jack did test heartworm positive and has started the 'slow kill' treatment of monthly ivermectin. This will need to be continued in his adoptive home. Jack is a very loving older boy who is searching for a family who will love his gray-muzzle and give him the home he deserves for his golden years.
