Fergie is a very sweet girl estimated around 3 years of age who arrived at a rural Kentucky shelter as a stray. Fergie is a very rambunctious, friendly, and playful girl. She obviously hasn’t been given formal training and can be a wild child at times but it is all in good spirit with Fergie. She adores people and is generally very friendly when meeting – perhaps too much so at times. Fergie is extremely playful with the other dogs and loves to romp and run with anyone who will. Fergie did test positive for heartworm and has started the monthly “slow kill” treatment for her heartworm. She will need to continue receiving monthly treatment and eventually monthly preventative for her lifetime to ensure that she doesn’t have to battle Heartworm again. Overall Fergie is a loving girl who is searching for a family to show her how to live as a cherished member of the family.
