Rusty is a wonderful German Shepherd mix that is laid back and loving and very devoted to his people. Unfortunately when Rusty came into the shelter he was heartworm positive, but through donations, he has been treated with the slow kill method, which is monthly prevention for 18 months. He will be retested very soon and should test negative! He should not be in a home with cats, but gets along well with other dogs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and current on flea & heartworm prevention. He will require heartworm prevention for the rest of his life. He has been at the shelter for over a year, and would love to go to a home of his own soon. He is a joy to be around and loves all people, especially children. He will lean against your legs and look at you like you are his everything with those big soulful brown eyes that will melt your heart.
To meet him call the Mary Hall Ruddiman Canine Shelter at 270-965-2006 or email them at maryhallshelter@yahoo.com.
Adoptions are done by an application process, so please call to have one emailed, faxed or mailed to you. The adoption fee for Rusty is $100
