Molly is a stunning young female Shepherd who is just over 1 year of age. Molly was a 'frequent flyer' stray at her local shelter for the last year and unfortunately no one came to get her the last time. We do not know why she was wandering so often but do know that she is looking forward to a new year and her new life.
Molly is an absolute sweetheart and has a huge heart to match her adorable face and ears. Molly loves making new people friends and was a shelter favorite for her kind and loving personality. She bonds quickly and closely with people and likes adding humans to her pack but doesn't appreciate when they wander off - she is the sort to always keep her eye on the people no matter what else is going on. She has a very loyal personality and values herself as part of the family. She is still a young Shepherd though and has lots of energy to spare. She can be a very bouncy girl and is working on learning not to jump on her new friends. Molly requires plenty of exercise both mentally and physically to keep her stimulated throughout the day and is the sort that will need a 'job' to keep her out of trouble. Molly has been around an 8 year old child and done wonderfully but has not been around any younger children at this time.
Molly does fantastic with the other Shepherds and Shepherd mixes in her foster home. She meets new dogs pretty well but still has some puppy quirks that the adult dogs might reprimand such as being overzealous and in their space. She is learning how to navigate play groups and doing a wonderful job to picking up social cues. Molly would be okay joining a home with another dog or being an only dog but either way will need ongoing socialization to ensure her future success with other dogs. At this time Molly has not met any dogs under 30 lbs and has NOT been tested with cats.
Molly is a loving, loyal, and kind young Shepherd who is looking for a family that will give her patience, guidance, and love. If you're the home for Molly email Tierhavenrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application or visit adoptapet.com/tierhaven for FAQs
