Fergie is an adorable young German Shepherd who is believed to be around 1 year of age. She was picked up as a stray with demodectic mange speaking to a previous lack of care. She is being treated for her mange and is excitedly looking forward to finding a family of her own. 

Fergie isn't sure she has ever met a stranger and if she has she quickly made friends with them. This sweet girl wants to be the life of the party and meets every new situation with energy and zest. She is learning some of her finer manners like not jumping on all of our new human friends and maybe pulling a bit less on the leash. She is happy to adapt though as long as there is lots of pets involved and you tell her how much of a good girl she is. She has a wonderful out-going personality and lots of puppy traits she is still figuring out. Fergie has had limited interactions with children and done well; however, her exuberant nature may be overwhelming to some children especially those who are younger. Overall, Fergie has been a kind, playful, and sweet soul who has taken all the transitions, medications, and new people in stride. 

Fergie is living with other dogs and doing her best to figure them out. She thinks she wants to play but doesn't actually know how that works just yet. She has done well meeting other dogs and has learned to be respectful of their boundaries. She has plenty of energy to spare so learning to play will be a wonderful outlet for her and she is doing her best to figure that out. Fergie has not been tested with cats or dogs under 30 lbs. 

Fergie is still currently regrowing her hair however she has been treated for her mange and is on the mend. She is hoping to find a home that loves her for her shining personality rather than her looks.
