Gizmo is a handsome young Shepherd believed to be between 1.5 - 2 years of age. We know very little about Gizmo's history as he was owner surrendered to a rural shelter with no reason given. We do know that he was living on a rural farm and that is where he was raised.

Gizmo is a big boy and generally does okay meeting new people on leash. He can be vocal when he spots a new person from his crate or the yard though and has a very big bark. He isn't sure about visitors and requires guidance on how he is supposed to greet new people. Gizmo has been quick to warm up to everyone he has met and once he knows someone he is always happy to see them again. Gizmo is learning to ask for affection and really loves having one on one pets and cuddling. He can be more reserved if there are other dogs around getting attention as he generally defers to them. Gizmo has a very sweet, kind demeanor when he is comfortable and is a very loving boy. Gizmo can be a rambunctious and rowdy boy though and enjoys playing with people he knows. He is still learning he can't jump on people to initiate play. Gizmo has not been around any children at this time. 

Gizmo was surrendered with another dog and is currently living with other dogs without concern. He can be a rowdy boy but generally defers to whatever the other dogs are doing inside or in the yard. He is not a confident boy and prefers to be a follower if that is an option. Gizmo likes to romp with the other dogs in the yard but if no one is playing he will also entertain himself. Gizmo has been around dogs 35 + lbs and has NOT been tested with cats.
