Macadamia is a beautiful Sable German Shepherd estimated around 2 years of age. Macadamia was found as a stray therefore we do not know his history or background prior to arriving at the shelter. Macadamia is a smart, goofy young guy who is still learning how to navigate the world and what is expected of him. Macadamia can be vocal meeting new people especially when he is behind a barrier - crate, fence, etc. He has done well when properly introduced on leash and is learning how to make new friends. Once Macadamia knows someone he shows himself to be a playful and rambunctious boy who wants to be in the middle of whatever the people are doing. Macadamia is absolutely obsessed with chasing the water hose and is slowly figuring out actual toys. Macadamia has not been introduced to any children and is not currently recommended for a home with kids under 13. Macadamia is a loving and close bonding boy who is going to require a home committed to his ongoing training and socialization. Macadamia does live with other Shepherds currently but is heavily supervised in his interactions. He is not sure if he wants to make dog friends and he lacks any semblance of good social behavior with other dogs. Macadamia has been able to acclimate to sharing the yard with one other large, young Shepherd however he has had some scuffles. He is currently best suited as an only dog but it is absolutely critical he receive socialization with other dogs to help him overcome his behavior. Macadamia is NOT cat friendly. Macadamia is a young Shepherd that is looking for guidance, patience, and structure in a home that will help him learn what is expected of him.
