Foxy is a sweet young girl who is doing her best to learn to trust new people. She can be aloof when meeting at first and will keep to herself but is warming up quicker and quicker with each positive interaction. Once Foxy knows someone she is a playful girl and is learning how to ask for attention. Foxy is extremely head-shy and will duck away if you handle her neck or ears. Foxy does allow those she knows to handle her collar but prefers it if they go nice and slow with it. Foxy is NOT house trained and is still crate training. It is clear that Foxy was not kept inside as she simply has no concept of being clean inside. Foxy has not been around children to our knowledge and is not recommended for a home with kids at this time.
Foxy loves other dogs and is a dog-centric sort of girl. She does a great job meeting new dogs appropriately and is quick to make new dog friends. She is learning a variety of play styles from the other dogs in her foster home and is doing wonderful navigating the other dogs. Foxy has done well during brief interactions with cats and is interested in them.
Foxy is a young girl who is looking for patient guidance as she figures out what it means to be part of a loving family. If you're the home for Foxy please email tierhavenrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application or visit Tierhaven.rescuegroups.org for FAQs
