Appa is a handsome young Shepherd estimated around 1 year of age. Appa was a stray therefore we do not know his history or background. Appa has been friendly although timid at times with our volunteers. When he warms up he is a big puppers with no concept of his size or personal space. Appa has a tendency to be mouthy while playing as well as to jump when excited - he is still figuring out his manners and how to remember them when the energy is up. He ultimately seems to be a sweet, dorky young guy who needs kindness and guidance. Appa has NOT been around children at this time. Appa is doing well with the other Shepherds in his foster home and learning how to be more appropriate in his play. He can be a very rough player and has had to figure out that not every dog appreciates that but he is learning to respect boundaries. Appa has NOT been around smaller dogs or cats at this time and we would not place him with either. Appa is a wild child looking for a family that will give him guidance, socialization, and plenty of exercise as he continues to grow.
