Nagga is a beautiful young adult German Shepherd estimated around 2 years of age. Nagga was a stray and we do not know her history or background prior to arriving at the shelter.
Nagga is a very sweet, timid girl who prefers to hang back from new people. She is quick to cower or back away if she feels rushed or overwhelmed. She is learning from each new positive interaction with people but it is clear that Nagga isn't yet sure how to trust or make new friends. Once Nagga has gotten to know someone she is a very sweet, easy-going girl. She is starting to figure out how to ask for affection and is appreciative of some light butt scratching; however, she overall keeps to herself right now. As she gets more confident in trusting humans hopefully her playful side will get to come out more but she is simply going to need time and patience first. Nagga has not been around any children at this time and due to her timidness would be best with older children that can respect her space.
Nagga does great with the other Shepherds in her foster home and takes a lot of social cues from the other dogs. She navigates a variety of other dog personalities well and tends to be a more submissive girl herself. She is quick to play with other young, social dogs but will also keep her distance if a dog is too rowdy or doesn't want to play. Nagga has done well during initial cat testing and given a proper introduction should be okay in a home with cats.
Nagga is a kind soul that is looking for a patient, loving family that will help her grow her confidence and trust. If you're the home for Nagga please email Tierhavenrescue@gmail.com for an adoption application or visit Tierhaven.rescuegroups.org for FAQs
