About Knight

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with Brown, Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut
  • Current Age: 5 Years 11 Months (best estimate)
Knight is a handsome adult Shepherd that is around 3 years of age. Knight has had a rough journey and arrived at the shelter after laying in a ditch for a few days presumed dead. When someone finally checked on his 'body' they realized that he was alive but unable to walk. Knight was able to recover his ability to walk as the vets were never able to find a new cause however he now has a clean bill of health and is looking forward to a home of his own.   Knight is a sweet, sweet boy who tends to meet new people with a calm, docile manner. Of course with those he knows he tends to be bouncy, goofy, and playfully on the go at all times. Knight doesn't seem to really know what to do with himself in new situations so he tries to be a wallflower fading into the background. In known environments though he is a hoot and loves to be part of whatever is going on. Knight does not have much concept of manners and can be bouncy and mouthy when he is playing which is one of his favorite thing to do with people. He redirects easily if you aren't looking for a romp session and is overall a very eager to please boy. Knight has been around children 10 years and up with no concerns but has not been around young kids at this time.   Knight lives with other Shepherds and has learned to navigate play groups well. He was originally defensive with other dogs but has figured out that playing is more fun with the other dogs than the boring humans. Knight is pretty soft so if things get too wild he tends to fade out of the play group. He has figured out that one on one play with like-minded dogs is the best. Knight has done great during cat testing and is more avoidant of the cats than anything. He has not been around small dogs at this time. Knight is searching for a home that will appreciate his quirky gait, sheltered personality, and goofy antics while giving him the love he needs to flourish.
