Sable is a handsome male German Shepherd around 7 years of age. Sable has spent the last few years in a home that unfortunately surrendered him when they had a child. Sable is the sort of boy who can take himself too seriously at times but when he is relaxed he is a big teddy bear. Sable values himself as a protector and is quick to make close bonds with the humans in his life. He has been unanchored since returning to the rescue and is really looking for the people he is supposed to be loyal and dedicated too. Sable is still an active guy and will require a home that can give him plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Sable has been around children 6+ years of age with no concerns. Sable lives with other dogs in foster and while he gets along well he is not very dog-centric. He would much rather spend his time with humans than in a playgroup. He does know how to appropriately navigate various other dog personalities and he will occasionally play. Sable has NOT been around dogs under 40 lbs or cats. Sable is a wonderful boy who is looking for a home that will value his stoic Shepherd personality and return the dedication he so readily gives.
