Nigel is an adorable young guy around 7-8 months of age believed to be a German Shepherd mix. Nigel has been in the shelter system since he was 3 months old when his original owners surrendered him for mouthy puppy behavior. We do not know his history prior to this.   Nigel is a typical young puppy - lots of bouncy playful energy. He is a sweet guy who is has a serious case of FOMO that leads to him wanting to play until he drops. Nigel is still learning the benefit of down time but doesn't believe in being bored. He is happy to entertain himself with a toy if no one is available to play with him though. Nigel does sleep in his crate overnight and while his foster family is at work. He is growing into a well mannered boy but is still a big pupper that needs structure, socialization, training, and exercise to ensure he grows up to be a well mannered adult. Nigel has been living with a 10 year old that he adores but can be a lot of energy for younger children. Nigel would be best suited to a home with kids old enough to handle Nigel's bouncy self. Nigel is good for bath time, generally well behaved in the house, and his all time favorite game is sliding down slides on playgrounds.   Nigel loves other dogs! He doesn't have much awareness on if they love him but he is learning his social manners. He is respectful of the boundaries that the adult dogs have set for him and is thrilled to play with those that do want to romp with him. Nigel has grown up with big dogs that play rough so he has adopted a pretty rough and tumble play style himself. He would do best in a home with other playful dogs as the laid back seniors don't have much patience for him. Nigel has lived with cats in two of his foster homes and does well with them. He does try to play with him but will leave them alone when told to.   Nigel is a cute young heathen that is looking for a home that will give him the guidance and love that will ensure his safe, happy future as a good canine citizen.
