Ivan is a stunning young male German Shepherd estimated around 1.5 years of age. Ivan was a stray therefore we do not know his history prior to arrival at the shelter.    Ivan is a party boy and is pretty sure that everyone came just to see him. He loves to be the center of attention and is a very social, rambunctious boy. Social manners or spatial awareness are not his strong suits so he does like to jump on people and generally run into things. He may be best described as an oversized goober with extra love to give. Ivan is a big boy already so perhaps bull in a china shop may be more accurate. Ivan is going to need some guidance on his manners but he is an eager to please boy and sure to learn quick. Ivan has not been around children under 10 years old at this time. While we don't think he would be bad with kids he is a large, bouncy boy so he is likely to knock younger kids over accidentally.    Ivan has done wonderful with the other Shepherds in his foster home. He is quick to play and still learning that not every dog wants to play with him. He has done well meeting new dogs on leash although he is not exactly 'calm' when spotting new potential friends. Ivan is a rough and tumble sort of player and would do well with another dog that doesn't mind the chew, flip, and roll during play. Ivan has not been around any dogs under 35 lbs at the time and he has NOT been cat tested.    Ivan is a big, beautiful boy that is looking for a family that will give him the guidance, patience, and love he needs to thrive.
