Roger is a stunning male German Shepherd estimated around 2 years of age. Roger arrived at the shelter as a stray weighing a pitiful 34 lbs. We don't know his history before that but his condition didn't paint a pretty picture. Roger is up 30+ lbs now and ready to find a home of his own. Roger is an active, bouncy, and sweet boy. He has the occasional moment of stranger danger meeting new people but warms up quickly especially with the help of treats. Roger is a big lap dog with those he knows and loves to love. Has he has regained his health he has gotten more and more playful and goofy. Roger lives with a 10 year old he adores but hasn't been around younger children. Roger loves other dogs and is learning more each day on how to navigate play groups. He can be a bit rough at times and still needs to be reminded to take it easy in high energy situations. He doesn't always 'read the room' and tends to think every dog wants to be his friend. Roger has done well during cat testing but doesn't live with cats. He has not been around small dogs at this time. This sweet boy is looking for a home that will help him learn how to be part of the family and give him the TLC he needs.
