Henry is a stunning young male Shepherd believed to be around 2 – 3 years of age. Henry was a stray and we do not know his history prior to arrival at the shelter. Henry is sweet as molasses with everyone he meets and enjoys being an oversized lap dog. Henry has a very kind and social personality although he doesn’t always know what to do in high energy environments. Henry enjoys pets, cuddles, and kisses from anyone willing to give them. He has spent time with an 8 year old and an 11 year old both of whom he quickly loved. He has not met any younger children but he would be considered a candidate for a home with younger children given proper introductions and boundaries. Henry does all things with kindness and is a good natured boy. He is still figuring out toys and life in the house but he is giving it his best. Henry was found roaming with a female Shepherd who has trained him well to respect the wishes of other dogs. Henry is very mild mannered with other dogs, quiet when he meets, and quick to defer to their wishes. He is just learning how to play with the help of some puppies but is picking it up quickly. There isn’t much he doesn’t tolerate thank to a pushy female Shepherd influence in his life. Henry has been around Shepherd puppies as small as 15 lbs with no concerns. He has met a cat in passing and done well but we would need to conduct another cat test before placing him in a home with a cat. Henry is simply a true sweetheart that is searching for a home that values his peaceful nature and big heart.
