Roland is a big, beautiful Shepherd estimated around 5 years of age. We do not know Roland's history prior to the shelter. Roland is an easy going guy who adores people and believes that cameras and cars are sorcery. Roland is a typical 'shadow Shepherd' that wants to be everywhere you are at all times. He is a first class couch potato although he does enjoy going for walks and occasionally likes to play in the yard. Roland is not generally a demanding boy and is not constantly on the go like some Shepherds. Roland has been around children 6 years and up with no issues. He adores them as much as he does all other people and would likely do well in a home with kids 5 and up. Roland is an absolute grump with other dogs. He isn't reactive but doesn't have any tolerance for other dogs getting in his face and will reprimand him. He gets along okay with other settled adult dogs that respect his space and is not reactive when he encounters other dogs in public. He simple doesn't appreciate them being in his space and will ask them to back away. He would do best with another mellow adult dog or as a single dog. Roland is searching for a home that appreciates his nature as an oversized lap dog and respect his disdain for rambunctious dogs.
