Helga is a beautiful girl around 7 years of age. Helga was a stray and has been waiting a while for a home to call her own. This baffles us as she is a great girl and a volunteer favorite.

Helga enjoys being part of a family and can be a social butterfly with those she knows. Once Helga knows someone they are part of her pack for life and she will happily shower them with love and kisses. Helga is a well mannered girl that has a settled personality and the ability to navigate new situations with ease. Helga enjoys going on walks, hikes, and any adventure you'll let her tag along for. Helga can be a bossy girl and when she isn't given clear boundaries she will happily step up to make the rules. She is a very typical Shepherd who is smart, loyal, and protective and is searching for a home that values those traits. 

Helga lives with other Shepherds and Shepherd mixes in her foster homes and does wonderful. She will play with most dogs but prefers to be more one on one for actual playing as she would rather spend her time in large play groups policing the other dogs, telling them what to do. Helga has learned to ignore new dogs that she meets in public and is generally indifferent about most new dogs. Helga has a naturally high prey drive and is NOT suitable to a home with cats or small dogs.

Helga is a sweet, smart, and loyal Shepherd who is searching for a family that values her for who she is and will help her be the best companion she can be.
